Our next concert. will be The Little Malvern Ensemble Trio – 3.00 pm Sunday 21st January 2018.

The music spans 200 years (we are playing it in chronological order!) and we include music with which you may well be familiar and some things that might be new to you. Nino Rota is a well known composer of film music (eg The Godfather pt 2) but less well known for his chamber music which includes this exciting and extraordinary trio. The trio by Peter Schindler is perhaps more unusual. It is scored for saxophone cello and piano and combines jazz (esp Latin) and classical elements in a classical framework. The composer has hinted that he may attend the concert – which is an exciting prospect! Peter lives in Berlin and is well known in Germany as a pianist and composer.
This is an accessible and entertaining programme and we will be delighted if you can join us on that afternoon. Tickets are available on the door and refreshments will be served in the interval.
